100 years Mühldorfer

When Sidonie Mühldorfer opened a retail store for beds, beddings and textiles in Haidmühle in the Bavarian Forest close to the Czech border, she probably didn’t have the slightest inkling that one day her successors would transform it into a global business. The sisters Maximiliana and Elisabeth took over the business from their parents in 1987 and steadily built up their own production of beds of superior quality, which they sold even in Munich and the rest of Bavaria in their own branches. The high standards for quality and the personal relationship with clients was the basis for the great success of the company, and have until today always been the main business principles of Bettenhaus Mühldorfer.

Family-owned company Mühldorfer’s Elisabeth Hintermann said that 72% of hotel guests pick a hotel based on its beds, on the eve of the Executive Housekeeper Forum. 

Hintermann revealed that due to increased hotel competition, all properties are dedicating themselves to develop its own style to attract guests. Full Interview
